Interflight Aircraft Maintenance announces business doubled in the first half of 2020

Biggin Hill Airport-based Interflight Aircraft Maintenance has recorded twice the amount of sales in the first five months of the year, compared to the same period in 2019.

Lee Sugden, Director of Engineering at Interflight, commented: “We managed to keep the hangar open throughout the Coronavirus lockdown, by putting in place social distancing, and rotating shift patterns to keep our engineers safe. This has meant we’ve kept a steady flow of work coming in, and allowed us to remain profitable during these difficult times.

“Customers have still needed their aircraft to be serviced and maintained, and the fact that they were not allowed to fly them has meant we’ve been extra busy. The great start to the year has continued as in July we had nine aircraft in the hangar for maintenance.”

Interflight has an extensive approvals list: Hawker 700, 800B, 750, 800/850XP, 900, 1000, Hawker 400XP, Beechjet 400a and Gulfstream 550.
